The Penn Statim, the online companion to the Penn State Law Review, invites the submission of unsolicited articles for publication.
Preference will be given for current pieces ranging between 5,000 and 10,000 words, though submissions outside this range are acceptable. Authors need not be legal scholars or professionals; anyone with an academic or professional interest in the law with a law-related submission is invited to submit to the Penn Statim. We welcome opinionated and unique submissions.
Authors are encouraged to use gender-neutral language. Ideally, citations should conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (a copyright of the Columbia Law Review Association, the Harvard Law Review Association, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and The Yale Law Journal), though submissions using another standardized citation format (e.g., APA, MLA) will also be considered.
Submissions should be sent via email to the Executive Online Editor, Noah Eastman, at nde5026@ psu.edu. (Although the Penn State Law Review‘s print edition accepts submissions via Scholastica, the Penn Statim does not.) When submitting via email, please attach a copy of the article and a current CV. Within the body of your email, please also include the following information:
Name of Author
Author’s Academic or Professional Affiliation
Author’s E-mail Address
Title of Article
Inquiries about the submission process should be directed to the Executive Online Editor, Noah Eastman, by email.
