In 2009, Penn State Law Review launched its interactive series, Scholarly Dialogues, which provides students with the opportunity to engage with professors concerning recent scholarship. A typical program is hosted within the Law School and includes a presentation from a professor, several questions from the moderator, and reserved time for audience participation. The Scholarly Dialogues serve as a valuable forum for out-of-classroom scholarly interaction between professors and students.
Within the recent months, Scholarly Dialogues hosted the following professors:
Kit Kinports presented “Veteran Police Officers and Three-Dollar Steaks: The Subjective/Objective Dimensions of Probable Cause and Reasonable Suspicion.” [watch video]
Stephen F. Ross presented “Judicial Review of NCAA Decisions: Evaluation of the Restitution Rule and a Call for Arbitration.” [watch video]
Donald C. Langevoort presented “Reading Stoneridge Carefully: A Duty-Based Approach to Reliance and Third Party Liability under Rule 10b-5.” [watch video]
Nancy Welsh presented “What Is ‘(Im)Partial Enough’ in a World of Embedded Neutrals?” [watch video]

Penn State Law Review would like to thank all of the presenters who made the Scholarly Dialogues series a success in 2009-2010, and looks forward to announcing the upcoming schedule of events for 2010-2011.
